Is the power drawn from N to S magnetic polarity contact or N to N & S to S contact in a Bendini motor?

I’ve observed the field waves of magnetic contact but can’t decide which series induces the power stroke. It appears as though the wheel to coil contact should be orientated to Northward outfacing polarity but I can’t tell if this is where the power is driven. Any help you could share would be most welcome, thank you.

Magnetic field lines will always align nicely along N to S polarity. N to N or S to S will create disturbed magnetic lines. That’s all I know.
In any motor rotational force will be created at right angle to the magnetic field applied.
